Admission Arrangements
Nursery Admissions
Chipstead Valley nursery offers up to 12 places for 2-3 year-olds, and up to 51 places for 3-4 year-olds. Admissions into the nursery are in the Autumn term (September)after your child turns 2, or 3. Please click below to view the Nursery Admission Policy.
For nursery admissions for the 2024-25 academic year, please download either the 2 or 3 year old application forms below. Once completed the relevant form should be returned to the school by 14th January 2024. Late applications are accepted and will be placed on a waiting list, with any second-round offers being made in the summer term before the start of the new academic year (May onwards).
Reception Admissions
Children are eligible to start in Reception in the September of the academic year in which they turn five years old (the academic year runs from 1 September to 31 August) Please see the Admission Policies for the relevant academic years below:
Admissions into our reception classes at Chipstead Valley Primary School are handled through the London Borough of Croydon. PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU LIVE OUTSIDE OF THE BOROUGH OF CROYDON, YOU WILL NEED TO APPLY THROUGH YOUR OWN LOCAL AUTHORITY (i.e. if you live in Surrey, you will need to apply through the Surrey County Council admissions team).

If you are applying and would like your application to be considered under medical priority, please complete the below form to supplement your application to your local authority. We can only accept medical submissions for conditions that result in Chipstead Valley primary being the only setting who can meet the needs of your child. Please ensure you read the medical priority criteria before applying on this basis.

In-Year admissions process
Admission into years 1-6 fall within the In-year School Admissions process (for children new to the area or without a school), and transfers. In-year admissions for Chipstead Valley primary school are handled through the London Borough of Croydon school admissions team. Enhanced Learning Provision (ELP) Admissions
